
Murder, gangsters, and multiple love triangles can’t get in the way of opening night of a brand new play in the fast paced comedy by first time playwright Isaac Platizky.
In association with the Brazen Giant Ensemble, “That’s Show Biz, Baby” will be making its world premiere as part of the New York Theater Festival’s 2024. Spring/Summer season at the Hudson Guild Theatre (441 W 26th St, New York, NY 10001).

Steph Marie Alvarez (Abby)
Steph Marie Alvarez is a New York based actress and writer. She made her writing debut in 2012 with “Border Sweet Border,” an immigration play based off interviews with lawyers and immigrants from various countries. Through this artistic venture, she became a board member of the former Maura Clark Ita Ford Foundation. Recent credits include “Exile is my Home,” “Tales from the Narrow Bridge,” and “Big Dogs.” Steph is a proud member of Brazen Giant Ensemble. She is a graduate of the One Year Conservatory at the Terry Schreiber Studio & Theatre, and has a Bachelors in Communication Arts from Marymount Manhattan College. Alicia Giangrisostomi* (Lilly)
Alicia Giangrisostomi is a NYC resident and rising star, classically trained and experienced in film, television, and theatre. Her credits include Everything’s Trash (Hulu), Bats*t Bride (Apple Plus), Annette Ferrara (The Actor’s Studio – Writer’s Reading), Electric Serenade (Theatre for the New City) and Caligula Maximus (La Mama Theatre). She starred in the film Penny (nominated as an *Official Selection* for the New York Indie Short Film Festival) and just wrapped filming two leading roles in films: Backstory and Paradise 6-5000 (also joining the festival market). She’s working with Vincent Pastore on an original play and signed on to play a leading character in two unannounced films. Also, a professional dancer, you can find her assisting various choreographers at her dance home, Broadway Dance Center. Justine Harrison-Daube (Agatha)
Justine is thrilled to partner with Brazen Giant Ensemble and Narrow Bridge Films to be part of That’s Showbiz Baby. She’s an active member of Brazen Giant Ensemble. Recent theater credits include All American Dreamers (Ashley) at Theater for the New City, Same (Mrs. Walker) at Symphony Space, Derby Day (SPQR Stage Co), and she’s currently a leading cast member of the long-running NYC murder mystery Murdered by the Mob (Cookie). Film credits include Circle (Amazon Prime), Spring Break Zombie Massacre (Apple+) , Graceless (writer/producer/co-lead) and the upcoming The Beggarman. She has also been seen on Hulu, Netflix, Tubi, MTV, TLC, etc. She’s also co-developing and writing a pilot and series titled Second Cousins with Brazen Giant Ensemble co-founder Bill Sorvino. Seth Reuben Jacobson (Kyle)
Seth is a 25-year veteran of show business (hopefully the scars don’t show… too much). He has directed, written and/or edited hundreds of video projects for broadcast, corporate and not-for-profits. As an actor, he has performed in dozens of plays and small films, including the Acme Players production of “Waiting for Godot” as Vladimir. As an editor, he has edited three features, including the thriller “Central Park Dark”, directed by Cybil Lake and starring the late Tom Sizemore. His recent work includes writing and directing “The Skeptical Zone” (2021), a 20-minute doc-narrative for the educational market and directing episodes for the Beehive ESL video series produced by Oxford University Press. He is currently producing “Uprighting”, an educational web-series based on the work of Alexander Practitioner, Michael Protzel. His most recent film is “Back Story”, a 20-minute homage to noir-cinema, which he developed with the Brazen Giant Ensemble. It stars Bill Sorvino, Alicia Giangrisostomi, Ernest Mingione and Sarah MacDonnell. He is delighted to be part of the production of “That’s Showbiz!”

Christian Keiber (Director/Producer/Dominic)
Member of legendary actor’s club ‘The Players’ of NYC since 1992, featured in ‘Origin Magazine’ as one of “The Nation’s Top Creatives”. “No Way Back” opposite Russell Crowe, “Orange Is the New Black” directed by Jodie Foster, recurring roles on “Charmed”, “Show Me A Hero”, “Those Who Kill”. Guest starring on “ER”, “NCIS: LA”, “Blue Bloods”, “Gotham”, “Homeland” and “Y: The Last Man”, to name a few. Laura Fay Lewis (Jessica)
Laura Fay Lewis is a New York City based multi-media artist. An actress and a graduate of the esteemed Juilliard School (Drama Division) infamous Group 12. She’s performed in many contemporary and classic plays Off Broadway. (Tribeca Lab, Estrogenius, Fresh Fruit Festival) to name just a few, and has worked with and/ or originated dramatic and comedic leading and supporting roles in plays by John Ford Noonan, Mark Borkowski and Edward Allan Baker. Favorite coaches include Charlie Laughton, Olympia Dukakis and Bobby Moresco. Recent Film credits include “Unseen” and “Love Honor and Betray”, Eddie Crawford’s “Sixty Miles North” (Woodstock Film Festival, Amazon Prime) Vince Edgehill’s “Kettle” and Laura Fay’s documentary “The Empty Handed Painter” (Golden Door International Film Festival, 3B Produktion) Laura Fay is a beloved founding member of Tribeca Lab, and Brazen Giant Ensemble. Kerry McGann (Olivia)
Kerry McGann can be seen this fall in Blue Bloods and American Horror Stories for Huluween. Other credits include One Royal Holiday (Hallmark), The Wrong Song (Lifetime), Valeria (Netflix), and The Sinner (USA). Kerry was nominated for a Broadway World Award in the Off-Broadway run of the critically acclaimed comedy “Sex Work/Sex Play”, and recently won Best Actress in the role of “Cookie” at The Golden Door Film Festival, and NJ Shorts Festival. Kerry has had the honor of being a back-up dancer for Little Steven & The Disciples of Soul as one of his Garage Girls-A-Go-Go at the iconic Beacon Theatre, Count Basie Theatre, and Paramount Theatre. Kerry is a proud founding member of the Brazen Giant Ensemble NYC, a member of Renegade Theater Company, headed by Maureen Van Zandt and Vincent Pastore, and founder of the coaching studio Actor Alignment. Ernest Mingione (Big Pauly)
Ernest Mingione is known for portraying police officers, mobsters and comical New York. characters. He is a member of the Brazen Giants Ensemble and the Renegade Theater NYC. He feels honored to be a part of “That’s Show Biz Baby.”

Ken Perlstein* (Police Officer)
Ken is a New York-based actor and comedian earning an MFA from the Actor’s Studio. On stage Ken has worked on off off and off Broadway shows and as a stand up comic, is a regular around clubs in a city as well as the region. Ken has extensive television and film credits that include The Americans, Person of Interest, Those People, and Adam Bloom, The Americans, Person of Interest, City On A Hill, a recurring role on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and Law & Order FBI. He is the writer and lead actor, and executive producer on his TV pilot, “How Am I Doing” and is currently writing another series.

Isaac Platizky* (Writer/Producer/Charles)
Isaac is the VP of Narrow Bridge Films and a(n almost) founding member of the @brazengiantensemble. He is an award winning actor who has starred in (almost) all of NBF’s projects. He is also the writer of Cabin of Errors, Devil You Know, Click Send, Cupid’s First Day, Monster Mash, I’ve Got You Beat, Rex & the PC Officer, Girl in the Basement, (some of) Lost & Found, and (most of) Tales from the Narrow Bridge. He recently won a competition that will see a script of his turned into a comic book for Jonathan Hickman’s @3worlds3moons company.

Sam Platizky (Jim, Producer)
Sam is the founder & President of Narrow Bridge Films and is an award winning actor, writer, and a founding member of the Brazen Giant Ensemble. Sam is excited to make his triumphant return to the stage in this hilarious show. James Pravasillis* (Scott)
James Is a New York Native Brooklynite. He has appeared on such shows as Black List (NBC), Ray Donovan, Billions (Showtime), The Deuce, I Know This Much Is True (HBO) and The Trial Of The Chicago Seven ( Dir. Aaron Sorkin). Theatre Credits Include: Henry V in Henry V, King John In King John (Hudson Shakespear), Don Armodo in Love’s Labour’s Lost, Lebret in Cyrano ( Michael Chekhov Theatre Co.), Titus Andronicus In Titus Andronicus ( Love Creek Productions), Biff Loman In death of a Salesman (Miller Theatre).
